Slope
We know that you can find the slope of a line using a few different methods. One is by using the formula for slope (y2-y1)/(x2-x1). Another way is through counting on a coordinate plane. One of my students has yet another way. This student finds the slope by lining up the coordinates vertically and then following the formula. This may help visual learners. Here is an example: (1, 2) (3, 4) You subtract 4-2 and then 3-1 and you write the fraction: 2/2=1.
